Catherine Bartomeo Originally from New Orleans, Catherine
recently moved to the St. Louis area after living in the San Francisco bay area for four years. She is excited to join the faculty of St. Louis Academy of Dance. In California, she taught at Lareen Fender’s The Ballet School. In addition to teaching, she was also a choreographer for Town Hall Theatre Company and Bay Area Children’s Theatre.
Catherine holds her master’s degree in opera performance from Wichita State University and her bachelor’s degree in voice from LSU. While in Kansas, she was a young artist with Wichita Grand Opera and has performed with Opera Kansas, Forum Theatre, and the Crown Uptown Dinner Theatre. Recent credits in the bay area include: Grease (Sandy), Les Miserables (Cosette), Gypsy (Dainty June), The Drowsy Chaperone (Janet van de Graaff), Peter Pan (Wendy Darling), Rocky Horror (Columbia/Dance Captain), The Who’s Tommy (Sally Simpson/Featured Dancer). She began studying dance at an early age and continued throughout college and grad school. She is also a proud Air Force wife!
